Multimatic 220 AC/DC

This cycle we are featuring the Miller Electric's new Multimatic 220 AC/DC This popular multiprocessing welder will do it all!

It will MIG - (GMAW), FLUX CORE - (FCAW), DC STICK - (SMAW), AC/DC TIG (GTAW), and PULSE TIG - (GTAW-P). This machine is ideal for light industrial applications. The following is a guide for what you may expect from this light weight (56 lb.) machine that is easily transportable to the job site. You can expect to MIG weld 24 ga to 3/8 inch Steel and 18 ga to 3/8 inch aluminum, DC STICK weld 16 ga to 3/8 inch steel, AC/DC TIG weld 24 ga to 1/4 inch steel and aluminum.

The TIG control is complete with both lift and high frequency start to eliminate tungsten contamination.

AC Balance is adjustable; AC Frequency is adjustable from 60 to 150 Hz. It has Post flow for the gases and DC pulse adjustable from off to 150 pulses per second.

The power source and accessory package comes complete with a 6.5 ft. power cord with both 120 volt and 240 volt input plugs, M-100 MIG gun w/ 10 ft. cable, Electrode holder w/ 13 ft. cable and Dinse style connector, Work Clamp w/ 10 ft. cable and Dinse style connector, Weldcraft A-150 (WP-17) TIG Torch w/ Dinse style connector, RFCS-14HD Foot Control w/ 20 ft. cable, Two flow gauge regulators, one for Argon and one for Argon/CO2 Mixes, Spool of .030 wire, Drive rolls for .030 and .035 wires, AK2C TIG Torch accessory kit and a Metal thickness gauge to help in the set up. For those who prefer to MIG weld Aluminum with a ONE POUND SPOOL GUN instead of the GOOSE NECK style there are two options available. The Spoolmate 100 (300371) w/ 12 ft. cable rated at 135 AMPs 30% duty cycle for welding 4043 alloy aluminum. And the Spoolmate 150 (301272) w/ 20 ft. cable rated at 150 amps 60% duty cycle for welding all 4000 and 5000 series aluminum. With this machine you can easily change processes. There is no need to disconnect and re-hookup for the new process. Both the TIG Torch and the MIG gun and both process regulators and gases can be connected to the machine at the same time. The machine automatically switches to the right process and the polarity when you hit the trigger or foot control for the new process. The color display on the machine includes set up images for easy to read set ups. The machine is covered by a 3 year parts and labor warranty and the guns are covered for 90 days parts and labor.

It is amazing how the machines have change since I got into this business in 1959. They have more power, make better welds, are lighter and smaller. The only thing that has gotten bigger is the price tag, but I guess that is the price of progress.

Stinger V

For you pipeline welders out there we are stocking the butt ugly un-insulated STINGER V001 electrode holder. They are American made of thick yellow brass that dissipates the heat and will stay cooler longer. It has a ribbed rubber handle that also helps isolate the heat from your hand. The “V” grip on the electrode stub holds it tight. We sell a lot of them in the Bakersfield, California Oil Patch.
